  1. Rubbing alcohol and Epsom salt bath?
I saw this on ultimate fighter last night for “cutting weight” but could this be used for general health once a week? A quick wash of rubbing alcohol before a bath and having the bath with warm water and epsom salt. This would help with body acne and other things from the sounds of it. The alcohol would help with cleaning out pours and oils and the epsom salt is used for general skin care.

    • Bodybuilders and fighters have used this technique for years. It helps take the subcutaneous water off your body thus leaving your muscles still full and not flat. It works by making the salt content in the water higher than that of your body. When this happens it creates a reverse effect of your body giving up water rather than taking on moisture out of the air and other elements. I have seen the formula if thats what you want to call it. It calls for 1 gallon of epsom salts and 5-8 bottles of rubbing alcohol. You apply the alcohol to your skin by rubbing it on and the get the water as hot as you can stand it and dissolve the salts in it then you lay in it for about 45 minutes. I guess you could compare it to swimming in a warm ocean. When you get out of the ocean you skin is tight cause the salt content is higher in the water and makes your body expell the subcutaneous water in your body and untill your skin absaorbs the moisture out of the air by way of humidity then it will remain tight. Rubbing alcohol and epsom salts have been used as cleansers for eternity so it won’t hurt you but you will start sweating….it also helps clear up acne on the body by exspelling toxins from your pores. Good luck hope this helps!

  2. What was the weight loss trick used in the ultimate fighter team Brock vs dos santos episode 3.?
The fighter was ten pounds over. His coach said he needed rubbing alcohol salt pack and other items, but he sat in a tub and sweat-ed a large amount. What did he do and use? just curious.

    • I’ve lost 4 lbs in a hot bath tub for an hour like he did just reading a book..but they put I believe 2 bags of epsom salt in tub..rubbed Albolene all over his body..not sure about the rubbing alcohol..I assume they poured it in the tub??? You submerge your entire body up to head in water very hot but not so hot you scald and you will sweat your ass off ..you will know because your head will be dripping..u are sweating under the water as well ..your heart will POUND and you will feel dizzy when you get out so be careful! … dry off and lay down for a bit..seriously your world will be spinning and very light headed

  3. I need to cut 10 pounds by next saturday (march 2nd) for a fight?
i am 10 pounds over and i need to cut that weight for a fight. I’ve been trying to get it off for 2 weeks ans I’ve been stuck at this weight. if anyone could give me detailed help, (naming actual types of food and when to eat it) not just saying more carbs, less protein, i would greatly appreciate it.

    • 10 pounds isn’t that bad. just keep sweating and not eating a lot have fun going through hell(sorry) the day of weigh ins if you are still over. get albolene, a lot of epsom salt, and rubbing alcohol. put VERY VERY HOT water in a bathtub. rub your body with the albolene this will open your pours. put the salt in and the rubbing alcohol in the tub. sit in there for 15 minutes, get out and cover yourself with towels for like 2 minutes make sure you’re dry weigh yourself. if necessary repeat

  4. Best way to cut 15 lbs for an MMA fight?
Hello, I have a fight coming up in about a month or so. My diet is pretty good and I have no issue losing weight at all. But I hear about all different kinds of methods fighters use to cut weight. I would like to cut about 12-15 lbs. What are some of best methods to do that? And just to clarify I want to CUT weight not LOSE weight. Some people may not know the difference. I would appreciate any feedback. Thank you.
