I know water, fruit, and vegetables are good, of course! but is there anything like tea or something that helps lean the body? There are some specific things that my mom tells me about like grapefruit and Aloe Vera Drink w/ Honey, are there any other products that i should be aware of?

-Thank You so much! I appreciate your help. :]

  2. How can i tame my hungry pains?
I am on a low calorie diet 3 small meals a day and a tiny healthly snack since 12-28-09 i have been on this diet . I get these god awful stomach hunger pains and can’t get rid of them any tips to trick my body. into thinking it is full?

    • Hi Ana,

Here are a few foods that will help suppress your appetite and make you feel full so that your hunger pangs decrease or even go away.

      Oranges and Grapefruits:

Oranges and grapefruits have soluble and insoluble fiber along with another type of fiber called pectin. The pectin fiber in these fruits curb your appetite while only containing about 70 calories.

On the other hand if you choose to consume the juices of oranges and grapefruits you’ll intake about 130 calories from eight ounces of juice. In addition, the juices are full of sugars, which cause your insulin levels to spike and over time the sugar can metabolize into fat.

      Apples:

These popular fruits are another natural great hunger suppressant. Just like the oranges and grapefruits they also contain soluble and insoluble fiber, including that special fiber pectin.

With the skin on, apples contain about 4 grams of fiber, which combines with water in your digestive tract to form bulk your intestines. This process decreases your hunger and makes you feel full, and satisfied longer.

The pectin suppresses your appetite at the same time by tricking your brain’s hunger center, which is called your appestat. Your brain believes you’re full, when in reality you’ve only eaten one apple.

      Apple Cider Vinegar:

This is another great food for reducing your appetite. The unique thing about apple cider vinegar is that it contains several acids called malic and tartaric acids that perform as digestive enzymes and help break down carbohydrates slowly, which ultimately slows down their absorption into the bloodstream.

Because of the tart flavor, it also increases the production of saliva, which include enzymes that aid in slower digestion of carbohydrates.

Simply add one tablespoon of apple cider vinegar to salads for its appetite-suppressing effect. Even non-fat raspberry vinaigrette dressing, contain some of these appetite-suppressing components.

But to keep things simple, any type of vinegar dressing, like balsamic vinaigrette, has the ability to suppress your appetite. Just keep in mind to use oil based dressings cautiously, as the calories from the oil will start to add up.

      hope that helps :)

  3. appetite suppression?
this year i’m determined to finally lose the weight. i’m not grossly obese, i have about 20-30 pounds i’d like to lose. i know that the only way to lose weight and keep it off isn’t with fad diets, but to reduce calories and to exercise. i watch my intake of fats and sugars, and eat very healthy foods, but my big problem is the amount that i eat of those foods. i just can’t make myself not eat, i feel hungry all the time it seems.

so my question is, what can i do to suppress my appetite?

diet drugs claim to have appetite suppressants in them, but they also have stimulants in them to make you burn more calories, which i know are harmful and i don’t want to take. i JUST need something to make me not feel hungry, i will burn calories the old fashioned way with exercise

i also understand that protein and fiber keep you feeling full longer, but it simply doesn’t help me. i end up filling up on protein bars that are packed with calories and it does me no good.

    so any suggestions?

    • I have tried hoodia—-> BOH-gussss

The only way to do it, is feel those pangs for 4-5 days but tell your body no. Your stomach has to shrink somehow! Unfortunately its by sacrificing a few snacks here and there. (not meals). Some people use grapefruit oil, and smell that when they get hungry or just 3 times a day. Other than that, my best suggestion is to have a nice hearty breakfast. Full of brans, fibers, fruit, calcium, nuts, etc, this will keep your stomach on track all day. Best of luck with it.

  4. Need advice for food diet!! plsss?
Im 16 i dont eat vegetables. I never liked vegetables since the day i was born. I know that veggies are really important on diets, so that’s why i need help. I need to have a diet cuz im getting fat. I go to the gym everyday doing some running on treadmills. What do u guys think i should eat for my diet. Eating vegetables is not an option cuz ill just throw it up.

    • Eggs: Skip the bagel this morning. Eggs, which are full of protein, will help you feel fuller longer-a lot longer.

Beans: It’s one of your best weight-loss pals. This digestive hormone is a natural appetite suppressant.

Salad: Control that calorie intake by starting with a large salad (but hold the creamy dressing).

Green tea: The slimming ingredient isn’t caffeine. Antioxidants called catechins are what help speed metabolism and fat burning.

Pears: They’re now recognized as having more fiber, thanks to a corrected calculation by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration. At six grams (formerly four grams) per medium-size pear, they’re great at filling you up.

Soup: A cup of chicken soup is as appetite blunting as a piece of chicken.

Lean beef: It’s what’s for dinner-or should be, if you’re trying to shed pounds. The amino acid leucine, which is abundant in proteins like meat and fish as well as in dairy products, can help you pare down while maintaining calorie-burning muscle.

Olive oil: Fight off middle-age pounds with extra virgin olive oil. A monounsaturated fat, it’ll help you burn calories.

Grapefruit: Eating half a grapefruit before each meal or drinking a serving of the juice three times a day helped people drop more than three pounds over 12 weeks.

Cinnamon: Sprinkle it on microwave oatmeal or whole-grain toast to help cure those mid-afternoon sugar slumps. A little cinnamon can help control post-meal insulin spikes (insulin spikes make you feel hungry).

Vinegar: It’s a great filler-upper. Vinegar can also short-circuit the swift blood-sugar rise that occurs after you eat refined carbs such as white bread, cookies, and crackers.

Tofu: It seems too light to be filling, tofu is an appetite-quashing protein.

High-fiber cereal: Studies show that you can curb your appetite by eating a bowl for breakfast.Try General Mills Fiber One (14 grams per serving) or Kellogg’s All Bran With Extra Fiber (13 grams per serving).

      Hope this helps!
